In 2010 when she was diagnosed with cancer she returned to painting. In her own words, “painting was my way to heal myself; a form of therapy that restored the joy to live life to the fullest again. I believe painting has shown me a way back to LIFE.”
Marisol’s personal style proposes a return to basic through simple shapes, definite strokes and vibrant colors to express emotions. She describes it as her unique way to express her love for life, nature and simplicity.
“I want people to look at my paintings and have a ‘feel good’ sensation; sort of what you feel when drinking a glass of cold water on a very hot day.
“Today, the world is going through a lot of pain; we need LOVE and art to heal, to survive, to become the best we can be.
“Love is, no doubt, the way out for us all.” – she says with shining eyes and a big smile.
